Hi everyone, I recently got an iPhone X and had it backed up through iCloud so that it was all ready to go before leaving the store. When I got home, I wanted to import all my pictures to iPhoto because I like to keep them downloaded right on my computer instead of using iCloud (all my photos are still on iCloud, I just like to have a physical download copy too on my MAC). Sign in to iCloud to access your photos, videos, documents, notes, contacts, and more. Use your Apple ID or create a new account to start using Apple services. Click 'Show iCloud Photo' button.Click 'Use iCloud' button. Open 'iPhoto' on Mac. Click 'File' tab. Select 'Import to Library.' A 'Finder Window' opens up. Locate the iCloud Drive folder containing the photos and videos which you want to import. You can select the photos, videos or an entire folder. Drag and drop them into iPhoto. Open the Photos app on your Mac. Select the photos you want to transfer and choose Export from the File menu (also, here y ou can choose to only download original photos or edited photos included).
